My name is Kareen. I’m a mother of two girls. The youngest, Naomi, is with me in Spain because we had to escape a violent situation back home. My 15-year-old daughter, María José, is still in Colombia, and my biggest dream is to bring her over so we can be together. Even though I’m deeply grateful for the safety and peace I’ve found in Spain, getting by as a single mom is really tough. I take every single job opportunity I can get, and right now, I’m studying and training so I can find a good job. I’m constantly looking for a work contract that will let me be independent and cover all our bills, while I figure out how to bring my daughters and me back together, because together, we are the three Powerpuff Girls.
