My name is Melissa, and I am a mother of three children aged 3, 13, and 16, who live with me. I moved to this country with the dream of seeking better opportunities for my children, as the insecurity in my home country did not allow them to grow up in a safe and peaceful environment. I am very eager to work, as I have always worked hard to provide everything my children need. However, things have been a bit difficult since I am running this household on my own. At times, it is hard for me to buy groceries and cover our basic needs because I haven't been able to find a steady job yet. Despite these challenges, I keep fighting so we can stay here, and so my children have the opportunity to get an education and enjoy a peaceful childhood and adolescence. In spite of the hardships, I dream of seeing my children grow up healthy and happy, and one day seeing them graduate. That would be my greatest pride, and it would make every single sacrifice worth it.
